\nThis is a new song for me! In fact I built this whole storytime as an excuse to sing it! Thanks to my friend Miss Mary Liberry<\/a> for introducing me to Seattle children’s musician Nancy Stewart<\/a>, who suggests pairing it with I Love Animals<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n
\nBounce baby on lap, facing you<\/em>
\nUpon his gray mare
\nWith his daughter behind him
\nSo rosy and fair
\nThen a duck cried out, “Quack!”
\nLift baby up<\/em>
\nAnd they all tumbled down
\nPlop baby back into your lap<\/em>
\nOff of the horse
\nAnd upside down!
\nTip baby gently backwards!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\nToday we used mare\/chair, duck\/truck, hen\/pen, goat\/boat<\/em><\/p>\n
\nLast week<\/a> we sang this, but this week I read it, stopping at every page and asking what sound each animal made.<\/em><\/p>\n
